Still going well

Things are going well here. We have gotten to the point of understanding the area a little. So much has happened since we left Perrysburg that it will be impossible to do much other than a gloss-over.

The flat we have rented (large old house with two one-bedrooms on the bottom level) is decent. It has size, versatility, and location. It does NOT have community, which is a bummer when you have little kids and no where to go other than out as a nuclear family...again. We are digging the really cool Cincinnati Children's Museum and the Cincinnati Zoo.

Work is great. I feel thankful all of the time to have been given such a fantastic group of people and such a flexible work environment. The eclectic clients and their interesting subject matter is great. Besides that, I feel wonderful at times when my skill set clicks and less-wonderful at other times. There is so much to do, but I feel that I have not worked my way up to the efficiency I need to excel in my position. There is so much to learn and, as a start-up, the only way to learn is to be thrown into the deep end. Rationally, I know that I should not feel bad but I am dragging a little due to knowing that my intentions and desires are running into walls of time and experience. Luckily, I am really motivated to learn and if I keep learning at this rate, then I will be able to do pretty much everything the marketing world could throw at me in pretty short order. Overall, the place feels like it is the right place for me at the right time. Also, it is a fun and rewarding place to be.

Kids! Oh wow! The kids are happy and healthy (besides colds and regular stuff like that). Joel is old (3 now). He is picking up on a lot of nuances of conversation/body language and is very curious. He has been day-trained for a while now and is almost night trained (but we are not taking chances on it yet).

Asher (now 8 months old) is standing for 10 seconds at a time but still won't sleep well. He is losing his chunkiness due to crawling and standing for almost the whole time he is awake. We love that he sings and dances. He is really cute. Good thing, because Anne is really tired most days due to this bugger keeping her up half of the night (that is a literal half, and that is on a good night).
