Quick update

Life is good. Too bad the house has so many little issues and I am so set to get the darn thing to be perfectly sound (not perfect, just with no major issues). I had to replace the sump pump and just tonight had to rig a support for one of the dry-rotten porch posts. The real fix will happen when I have time. The dissertation was turned in last week and I have some good feedback so far.

I have been officially done with the driving to Detroit job and am happily back in Maumee 5 days a week.

We got the yearly side of beef from Belleville market. 320 lbs of it! I asked about where it came from...the Belleville family gets the calf from a supplier near Columbus. Then the raise it on their own farmland (not feedlots) and its eats a grass-only diet until it is 600lbs, then corn. No antibiotics ever touch their cattle. They say they don't need them medicinally because the animals are given space and good conditions, so they are rarely sick. It makes me happy to know that stuff. They are darn tasty too. Help me eat this stuff (really, come by)!
